On warm summer days
families can enjoy the Class I-II middle section of the lower
Youghiogheny River above Ohiopyle. Here children as young as six can
paddle if they wish. Many seniors and disabled paddlers can also
enjoy both the forested mountain scenery and easy whitewater. Since
guided raft trips on the middle Yough are scheduled on demand,
reservations are important.
