One of the more memorable ways for visitors to enjoy the awesome beauty of Grand Teton National Park is a float trip on the Snake River. Beneath the majestic Grand Teton mountains, the mellow waters of the Snake River are the only avenue for seeing many of Jackson Hole's forests and meadows that provide secluded habitat to beavers, otters, bears, moose, eagles, and ospreys.

Below Jackson Lake, from mid-May until mid-September, the park's licensed rafting outfitters offer a wide variety of 5- and 10-mile (8 and 16 km) daily float trips including optional deli or picnic lunch, supper floats, and sunrise and evening wildlife trips.
Snake River outfitters have few passenger restrictions. Almost anyone above the age of four can enjoy the river. Outfitters welcome families, senior citizens, and the disabled. While it is almost always possible to join a raft trip on short notice, reservations a few days in advance are recommended.
