Fisher Towers, one of the
middle Colorado's more scenic river stretches, is also one of its
easiest. Its mild waters and proximity to Moab and to Canyonlands
and Arches national parks, make it a favorite half-, one- or two-day
raft trip for children's groups, families, senior citizens, and
persons disabilities.
The
beautiful Colorado flows gently through 30 miles (48 km) of red
slickrock canyons, including the delicate spires and chimneys of
Fisher Towers and the red buttes of Professor and Castle valleys,
alongside the breathtaking Arches National Park. Rafters often see
eagles, red-tailed hawks, deer, coyotes and desert foxes.
