The Birkenhead River, a
few miles north of Garibaldi Provincial Park and the world-famous
Whistler ski resort, offers a very enjoyable half-day rafting trip.
The
5-mile (8 km) Birkenhead trip, with continuous but not-too-difficult
Class II-III rapids, offers excitement for novices and experienced
rafters. Paddle trips permit maximum participation of rafters. Many
guests choose to refine their newly learned paddling skills by
running the river twice in a day.
