The Elaho and Squamish
rivers, about 15 miles (24 km) west of British Columbia's Garibaldi
Provincial Park and the Whistler ski resort, provide first-time and
experienced rafters an opportunity to see many of the Province's
glacier-laden coastal mountain peaks.
The
two-river raft trip, which usually includes the last four miles (6.5
km) of the Elaho and more than 10 miles (16 km) on the Squamish,
features the lively Class III-III+ Steamroller, White Dog, Devil's
Elbow, and Cheeseball rapids.

| During the warmer summer
months, an easy Class I float trip on the lower Squamish offers
families is ideal for families with young children, providing
frequent glimpses of bears, deer, and eagles. Its quiet waters are
perfect way to relax and enjoy both the wildlife and spectacular
mountain scenery. |
